Purpose: the reason for which something is done or created, or for which something exists

We all have purpose.

So often, I think people see themselves as a “waste of space”. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say “I don’t have purpose. I’m just here”. Or, people have said, “I don’t have any gifts. I’m not that special.”

Let me tell you something, friend: these statements are 100 percent wrong.

Everyone and everything was created with a purpose.

Look around you at God’s creation. Every single thing was created to do something. Science will back this up. Trees have purpose, flowers even have purpose.

So what makes you think that you were created without purpose?

God did not make a mistake when He formed you. The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”

Take this as proof: you were created on purpose with purpose.

You are not an accident. Psalm 139:13 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

God created you intentionally, He knows you intimately (read Luke 12:7), and He’s given you purpose.

You were placed on this earth for a reason, and as you draw closer to God, you will learn more about why you were created and what purpose you have been given.

As you grow in intimacy with the Creator, your purpose will begin to unfold in your life.

So today, be encouraged. You have purpose.
