Rise Above

Hello everyone, my name is Tina.

I have chosen to name this blog, Rise Above. So many times life throws us curve balls that seem to change our view, our plans, and at times even shake our faith.

In this blog, I hope to encourage each of you to first seek God. Secondly, to encourage you to keep moving forward even when you feel hopeless. Lastly, to help you learn how to speak to your mountains instead of running from them or going around the same mountain over and over.

I do not want to limit this blog to a specific topic. I will allow Holy Spirit to direct me with each one. I believe that being real (transparent) is the best to impact others. I pray that as you read, you will be inspired to become a better version of you. I mean let’s be honest all of us can become a better person than we were yesterday. Remember that it is not about perfection but progress!

Tina Bassett resides in New Martinsville. She is a single mom of three beautiful daughters: Rachel, Charity, and Destiny. She is the director of the greeters/ushers, serves on the prayer team, and also participates on the praise and worship team at her local church. She loves animals and the beach. More than anything she wants her life to reflect God’s love and have an impact on those around her.
