Shamar

Several years ago, while reading the Word of God, the Lord highlighted Ezekiel 3:16-17 regarding the call of Ezekiel to be a watchman for the House of Israel. Through these verses, the Lord helped me understand part of my calling. In Bible times, a watchman would climb up their watchtower and stand watch. They were assigned to watch to see whether whoever was approaching was a friend or foe. They were a type of guard or sentry positioned to watch over and guard the city. I named my blog ‘Shamar” because Shamar means to guard, watch, keep, and observe.
My main purpose for this blog is to highlight areas where we are to guard our hearts with all diligence, for from it spring the issues of life.
(Proverbs 4:23) My desire is to help us grow and be transformed into His image and likeness. Most of my posts will be centered around this theme, I tend to be a deep thinker as well, so there will be times I just post from the musings of my heart before God. The Lord has also given me responsibility to watch and pray over cities and nations. There may be times where I release what the Lord is saying prophetically as well as prayer points related to the assignment.
There is always redemption in the heart of God whether we are watching over our own hearts or whatever metron he has called each of us to guard or keep. My hope is that we will be encouraged to go the distance while allowing the Lord to help us along in our journey. I will do my best to do my part along the way. This blog is for that purpose. To provide help and encouragement along life’s journey.
Thank you for joining me.
